Dr Lisa Gold

Lisa Gold is a lecturer in the History, Politics and Philosophy department at Manchester Metropolitan University. Lisa also has a background in Fine Art and 'Threads of a City' was her idea after seeing The Great Tapestry of Scotland in Galashiels. Lisa is leading this project.

Manchester Histories is a multi-award-winning charity that works collaboratively to reveal, share and celebrate Greater Manchester’s diverse histories and heritage. Eleanor Godfrey

Eleanor Godfrey is a Master's student studying MA Textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University. Her work focuses on heritage and community textiles, specialising in woven constructed textiles. She has worked as a weaver in residence and run several workshops in different historical settings. Eleanor is working as a project coordinator and is working on outreach for this project.
